TUESDAY 10/10 (1 week)
Tuition $55
Southern Italy has finally come of age in the wine world and is a hotbed of innovation. They stopped ripping out Heritage grapes as they discovered the grapes could produce quality wines if they were re-interpreted to lower yields, better site selection, harvesting at optimum times and better cellar handling. Nerellol Mascalese, Negroamaro, Canonau in Sardinia, Agliano in Campania and Vulture for reds and Inzolio. Grillo and Catarese for whites have benefited from these changes and continue to excel. We will taste some of these wines to judge their progress.
Instructors: Richard Unti and Robert Peters have taught at the Main Line School Night, Temple University (Ambler Campus) and the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill. They are members of the Society of Wine Educators.
