Learn about Iraq through the events that took place before and after the 2003 invasion as seen from the Iraqi point of view. This course will examine Iraqi media outlets, journalists, correspondents and researchers who work on this issue. Presentations will rely on many media outlets.

Instructor: Buthania Neveln holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Baghdad.  She worked as a journalist and news anchor at an Iraqi TV station until the 2003 invasion.  She moved to the USA in 2004 and has lectured about Iraq in many different venues. She follows various Arabic news sources and daily reports of Arabic journalists. She has also provided feedback on political shows and websites.
