Broaden your culinary horizons by learning to make classic Japanese sushi at home with fresh ingredients and authentic techniques. Bring your favorite chef’s knife to make temaki with tuna (rolled by hand in the shape of a cone), and nigiri with tuna (bite-sized mounds of rice with sushi on top). Etsuko will demonstrate how to cut salmon for sushi and prepare rice for sushi and form it into the proper shape. Enjoy the sushi you prepared with green tea and chopsticks.
Instructor: Etsuko Kono is a native of Japan and worked in and managed many sushi restaurants in Hawaii for 20 years.
